The Qatar Red Crescent implemented programs and aid worth over 547 million Qatari Riyals in 2024, benefiting nearly 8 million people inside and outside Qatar. Since the war on the Gaza Strip began in October 2023, humanitarian aid has been delivered to more than 1.7 million people at a cost exceeding 51 million US dollars.
The Qatar Red Crescent participates in the celebration of World Humanitarian Day, alongside ongoing international campaigns to protect humanitarian workers. In 2024, it provided aid worth 547 million Qatari Riyals to about 8 million beneficiaries inside and outside Qatar. Humanitarian workers face significant risks, with 134 relief workers killed in 2025 so far. The Qatar Red Crescent continues its efforts in the Gaza Strip, with an early recovery plan worth 500 million Qatari Riyals to be implemented after the war ends, including rehabilitation of hospitals and essential facilities.
