Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Interior Minister and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communications Technology, witnessed this morning the graduation ceremony of the second batch of the Technical Cadre Development Program, in the presence of the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, the Deputy Interior Minister, the Chief of Public Security, and several senior officials from government and private sectors.

The program, organized by the Information & eGovernment Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, is one of the leading national projects aimed at preparing and qualifying Bahraini competencies in the fields of information and communication technology, supporting the strategic aspirations and the Kingdom’s economic recovery plan.

On this occasion, the Interior Minister praised the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for the development and modernization journey witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain in many fields, including digital transformation and expansion in providing electronic services. He noted that the directives and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have contributed to enhancing the Kingdom’s technical sector’s position and achieving advanced ranks internationally.

He expressed his hope that the technological development reflected by this distinguished program becomes a general approach across various government entities, contributing to raising work efficiency and improving quality of life in society. He pointed out that those who want to be part of the future must speak the language of information technology and seriously engage with this development.

He explained that investing in qualified national competencies in these fields enhances the Kingdom’s ability to keep pace with global changes. He expressed his thanks to the CEO of the Information & eGovernment Authority and emphasized the importance of continuing training and program development, congratulating the graduates, program staff, and all partners who contributed to launching it as one of the most important national initiatives.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, CEO of the Information & eGovernment Authority, gave a presentation on the program and the efforts exerted to implement it, noting it is a strategic step to build young national competencies in the technical field, equipped at the highest level to meet the requirements of the digital economy strategy.

He stated that the number of participants in the program reached 159, with a 93% graduation rate, and 100 participants obtained jobs in the technical field. Additionally, 43 participants from the second batch were employed, with 61% hired before completing the program, reflecting competitiveness and the quality of acquired experience and skills. He pointed out the program’s flexibility and alignment with market needs and focused specializations.

After a short video showing the experiences of the second batch participants, the graduates, in a speech delivered on their behalf, confirmed that the Technical Cadre Development Program is a milestone in their professional journey. It was not just a training experience but a qualitative initiative combining strategic vision and practical application, distinguished by its integrated structure based on solid scientific foundations and practical implementation mechanisms.

The graduates indicated that what they gained during one year of participation in the program equals years of practical experience in various fields, leaving a tangible and long-term impact and contributing to enhancing their capabilities to effectively contribute to the success of digital transformation projects.

The Interior Minister and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communications Technology honored the strategic partners from government entities and representatives of private companies that initiated the employment of program graduates, in recognition of their role in supporting the program’s goals and the success of its outcomes, in addition to honoring the graduates of the second batch.
