Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Henu attended the final rehearsal of artist Mohamed Tharwat ahead of the Mawlid al-Nabawi celebration. The minister thanked the artist for his participation, wishing him success, saying: “It is a great honor that the Opera House hosts you, on behalf of all members of the Ministry of Culture and its artists, we are very proud to have you with us.”
The Egyptian Opera House celebrates the blessed anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday at the start of its new artistic season with an evening led by star Mohamed Tharwat, alongside Arab music singers Angham Mostafa, Ahmed Hassan, Mostafa Al-Najdi, and Amira Ahmed, accompanied by the celebratory orchestra conducted by maestro Dr. Alaa Abdelsalam. The event will take place at 9 PM on Tuesday, September 2, on the Grand Theater stage.
The celebration includes two segments; in the second, Mohamed Tharwat will perform a selection of religious hymns and poems that embody the noble traits of the Prophet and highlight the virtuous values of Islam, including “Rawdat Al-Hadi,” “The Prophet That Imam,” “Allah Ya Rasool Allah,” “Moon of Our Master the Prophet,” “The Lights of Muhammad Shone,” “The Heart Loves Every Beautiful Thing,” “For the Prophet,” “Peace Be Upon You,” “O Messenger of Humanity,” and “Gathered at the Prophet.”
In the first segment, opera stars will sing a selected group of songs including “Alfein Salat Ala Alnabi,” “Muhammad Rasool Allah,” “Mother of the Prophet,” “Learn, O World,” in addition to Mawlid music.
The celebration is part of the Ministry of Culture and Opera House’s program to honor religious occasions, aiming to strengthen national identity and showcase the spiritual creativity of the nation, seeking to deepen the connection to noble values that promote unity and solidarity, and highlight the civilizational role of the arts in spreading messages of love and peace.
