The Washington Post reported that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump and its international partners are discussing proposals to build a “Middle East Riviera” on the ruins of Gaza.

The report, published Sunday, stated that the proposals include imposing American control over the Gaza Strip and paying Palestinians to relocate.

The plan circulating within the Trump administration for post-war Gaza involves a “voluntary” resettlement of the entire population of the Strip.

It was noted that the Trump administration will establish a trust fund to resettle Gaza residents both abroad and within, and also plans to move some residents to secured areas inside the Strip.

The administration aims to transform Gaza into a tourist resort and a center for manufacturing and high-tech under American guardianship for no less than 10 years.

Last Wednesday, President Donald Trump held a meeting at the White House to discuss the post-war plan for Gaza, attended by his son-in-law Jared Kushner, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and Israeli official Ron Dermer, who attended unexpectedly.

A report by Axios indicated that the meeting lasted over an hour with the presence of Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and several senior Trump administration officials.

During the meeting, Kushner and Blair presented ideas previously discussed with American officials about how to manage Gaza and create an environment for investment and reconstruction, but this was the first time they presented them directly to Trump.

According to Axios, Trump summoned Dermer at the end of the meeting, who was already at the White House, to present the Israeli operational plan regarding the occupation of Gaza City and the initiation of a humanitarian aid wave during the military operation.

An informed source confirmed that Trump wanted to hear the Israeli perspective directly and understand its needs and red lines for the “day after” phase.
