WhatsApp, owned by Meta, announced a new feature for iOS users on iPhone that allows adding verified links to Instagram accounts within WhatsApp profile information. This feature is available in the new beta version 25.22.10.72 via the TestFlight program. According to WABetaInfo, users can insert their Instagram account link to direct contacts straight to their page, with privacy settings controlling link visibility. Currently, Instagram is the only supported platform, with potential future additions. WhatsApp developed a verification system to ensure the link is genuinely associated with the account owner, displaying a visible badge next to the link to enhance trust and reduce impersonation risks.
