The Luxor Drinking Water and Sanitation Company held a meeting of the permanent investment committee chaired by Major General Ahmed Mohamed Ramadan, Chairman of the Board, with representatives from the Healthcare Sector and the Upper Egypt Development Authority, under the umbrella of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation.

The meeting aims to achieve one of the company’s strategic goals represented in the safe use of wastewater to preserve the environment, expanding green spaces, as well as enhancing the company’s financial sustainability and increasing revenue sources.

The committee discussed the state’s efforts in reclaiming and cultivating desert lands to combat desertification and improve the climate. Available areas for planting in Luxor’s forested areas were reviewed, and the possibility of offering remaining areas for investment was studied to raise financial returns and expand cultivated land.

The meeting also addressed optimal utilization mechanisms for treated wastewater, in addition to studying the investment of unused assets to maximize their benefit, which enhances the company’s position and improves its service level.
