Reports reveal that Al Hilal club aims to acquire defender Alexis Olmedo, a talent from Barcelona’s La Masia academy, during the current summer transfer window. Olmedo, 19 years old, plays for Barcelona’s reserve team and is versatile, capable of playing as a center-back and right-back. Although he has not yet debuted with Barcelona’s first team, he was included multiple times in the squad last season under coach Hansi Flick. Olmedo is under contract with Barcelona until 2027, with a market value of 200,000 euros according to Transfermarkt. He has played 36 matches for the reserve team, scoring once and assisting once, and won the UEFA Youth League under 19. Internationally, Olmedo represented Spain at under-17 and under-19 levels and was part of the squad that reached the under-19 European Championship final in June, losing narrowly to the Netherlands.

The coming days will reveal whether Olmedo will follow the path of previous Barcelona talents who moved to the Saudi Roshn League, such as Unai Hernandez, Pau Prim, and Arnau Pradas.
