Hussein Labib, Chairman of Zamalek Club, celebrates his 70th birthday today. Born on October 14, 1955, he is considered a handball legend at the White Castle. He began his career with the youth and junior handball teams before joining the club’s first handball team and the Egyptian national team.

During his playing career, Hussein Labib won numerous titles with Zamalek, including 21 championships: 7 Egyptian Professional Handball League titles, 9 Egypt Cup titles, and 5 African championships.

After retiring, Hussein Labib moved into administrative roles, holding several positions such as membership in the National Sports Council, Treasurer of the Handball Federation, member of the African Handball Federation marketing committee, and Director of the 2021 Handball World Championship held in Egypt.

Currently, Hussein Labib serves as Chairman of Zamalek Club’s Board of Directors, which includes Hesham Nasr as Vice Chairman, Hossam Al-Mandouh as Treasurer, and members Ahmed Suleiman, Hani Barzi, Hussein El-Sayed, Amr Ali Adham, Mohamed Tarek, Hani Shoukry, Naira Al-Ahmar, Ahmed Khaled Hassanein, and Rami Nasouhi.
