Egypt’s second national football team achieved a big 4-0 victory over Bahrain in a friendly match held on Sunday evening in Morocco, as part of both teams’ preparations for the 2025 Arab Cup scheduled for next December.

The Egyptian second team is coached by Helmy Toulan. The tournament draw placed the Pharaohs in Group C alongside Jordan, the UAE, and the winner of the Kuwait vs Mauritania match.

The first half ended goalless despite Egyptian dominance, before the attack exploded in the second half. Amr El Solia opened the scoring with a powerful shot in the 48th minute, followed by Mido Gaber adding the second goal just two minutes later.

Egypt continued pressing, with Mohamed Sherif scoring the third goal in the 63rd minute after a precise pass from Ahmed Atef “Qutta”, and Marwan Hamdy sealed the fourth with a header in the second minute of added time.

The match saw the participation of many local players whom the technical staff aims to test before the Arab Cup, while Bahrain played with their main lineup, benefiting from their exit from the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Egyptian lineup included: Ali Lotfi, Karim El Iraqi, Ahmed Sami, Yassin Morai, Karim El Debes, Akram Tawfik, Amr El Solia, Ghnam Mohamed, Ahmed Atef “Qutta”, Mido Gaber, and Mohamed Sherif.
