Real Madrid striker and French star Kylian Mbappé praised the legendary career of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo with “Los Blancos,” affirming that he is still considered the number one player at the royal club despite leaving about seven years ago.

Ronaldo – one of Mbappé’s childhood heroes – scored 450 goals in nine seasons with Real Madrid between 2009 and 2018, winning 16 titles including four UEFA Champions League trophies.

Mbappé said in an interview with the Spanish channel “Movistar”: “Cristiano has always been a role model for me, I am lucky to talk to him; he gives me advice and has helped me a lot.”

He added: “I think he is still the number one player in Madrid, he is the reference for all Real players, and he has achieved a lot for the club. Fans still dream of him, but at the same time, I want to make my own path.”

Regarding his relationship with his Brazilian teammate Vinícius Júnior, Mbappé explained: “Having big players in one team helps the press spread rumors, but the truth is that my relationship with him is very good, and it has improved a lot this year because we have gotten to know each other better.”
