The future of Polish star Robert Lewandowski at Barcelona is highly uncertain after Spanish reports revealed his contract will expire at the end of the current season with no intention to renew, opening the door for interest from other clubs, notably Italy’s AC Milan.
According to the newspaper “Sport,” AC Milan’s management has already contacted Lewandowski’s agent through the club’s sporting director, Paolo Maldini, to discuss the possibility of signing the striker if he leaves Camp Nou. This move reflects the Italian club’s seriousness in strengthening its attack with one of Europe’s top scorers.
Despite this interest, the 37-year-old striker is not rushing to make a final decision. He considers staying at Barcelona as his first option and is waiting for the official stance from the club’s management before finalizing his future, which could shape the upcoming summer transfer market.
Lewandowski is currently in his fourth season with Barcelona and has scored 105 goals and provided 20 assists in 154 matches, demonstrating his continued high scoring ability despite his age. These numbers make him one of the Catalan club’s key assets to date.
The most important question remains: will Barcelona decide to keep their veteran striker for another season, or will they open the door for his move to a new challenge with AC Milan? The Catalan management’s decision will determine the future path of one of the greatest strikers of the last decade in the coming months.
