Starting today, you can try AI Mode in Google Search, as the new search experience is now available in 36 additional languages including Arabic, with a gradual rollout in the coming days.
AI Mode offers the most powerful AI-based search experience from Google, allowing you to ask any question and receive an AI-generated response, with the ability to dive deeper into any topic through follow-up questions and useful web links.
Thanks to the reasoning and thinking capabilities of the Gemini 2.5 model, which supports AI Mode, you can inquire about the toughest questions and deepen your search with follow-up queries. For example: “I want to understand different coffee preparation methods. Create a table comparing taste differences, ease of use, and required equipment.”
You can also type, speak, or even capture or upload an image to continue your search journey. AI Mode will appear as a tab on the search results page and in the Google app for Android and iOS in the coming days.
AI Mode was first launched in English in the Middle East and North Africa region last August. Research in places where this experience has been launched globally showed that users now ask questions that are two to three times longer compared to regular search.
How does AI Mode work?
This search experience uses a “query fan-out technique,” which breaks your question into subtopics and launches a large number of search requests simultaneously on your behalf. This technique allows deeper web exploration compared to traditional Google search, helping you discover more web content and find content highly relevant to your question.
Explore the Best of the Web
One of our top priorities is to help you access information and perspectives from a diverse range of sources through Google Search, even with the addition of AI technologies. Take “AI Overviews” for example; we noticed this feature encouraged users to visit a larger variety of websites for help with more complex questions. When users click on links from search results pages that include these overviews, the click quality is higher for websites, meaning users likely spend more time on the sites they visit.
