In a widely praised incident, young Chinese rapper “Abmozart” personally intervened during a concert in Hangzhou after a female attendee signaled that she was harassed during the show. Amid the noise, she silently communicated with the singer and, upon receiving the microphone, surprised everyone by saying, “The pervert hit my leg,” describing the assailant. Immediately, Abmozart stopped the concert and instructed security and organizers to review surveillance cameras and close the exits to prevent the suspect’s escape, saying, “Let’s catch him,” amid applause and encouragement from the audience. Following the incident, Hangzhou security authorities arrested a 25-year-old man named “Luo” on charges of harassment. This event highlights the important role artists play in confronting harassment and promoting a safe environment at public events.
