The image shows numerous sunspots as dark spots, along with the observation of small solar spicules on the sun’s edge.

The Khatt Astronomical Observatory captured a remarkable image of solar activity yesterday using a specialized solar telescope operating with Hydrogen-alpha technology, coinciding with the rise in solar activity.

The image displays many sunspots as dark dots, in addition to small solar spicules on the sun’s edge, dark solar filaments on its surface, some prominences emanating from the edge, as well as sunspots.

The observatory stated that the visible layer in the image is the “Chromosphere,” which lies above the visible “Photosphere” layer seen with the naked eye and regular telescopes, according to WAM.
