Mohamed Salah, star of Egypt’s national team and English club Liverpool, needs two goals to reach 50 goals in the UEFA Champions League.
The European Football Association announced that Salah is two goals away from reaching 50 goals, having scored 19 goals in his last 21 matches with Liverpool.
The Egyptian captain became the first African player to achieve this number in the group stage or league of the Champions League.
Liverpool faces Galatasaray in their second Champions League match after winning their first match against Atletico Madrid 3-2.
The draw placed Liverpool in a tough group alongside Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray, Eindhoven, Real Madrid, Marseille, Qarabag, Inter Milan, and Eintracht Frankfurt.
