The Houthis launched a third missile at Israel on Thursday morning within less than 24 hours, after vowing to retaliate for the assassination of several members of their government in Sanaa days ago.

The Israeli army said the missile launched by the Houthis this morning fell in an open area outside Israel. Yesterday, the Israeli army announced it intercepted a missile fired from Yemen that triggered sirens in some areas.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army radio reported that two missiles were detected from Yemen, one fell into the sea and the other was intercepted by Israeli air defenses, pushing Israelis to seek shelter in bomb shelters again.

The military spokesman for the Houthis, Yahya Saree, announced yesterday the success of a missile strike on a sensitive target west of occupied Jerusalem, stating that their forces also struck a target in Haifa with a drone and that the operation achieved its objectives.

On Tuesday, the Houthis announced carrying out four military operations with four drones against targets in Israel, including the General Staff building in Jaffa and Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. They also claimed to have targeted a ship linked to Israel in the northern Red Sea.

On August 28, Israel conducted airstrikes on Sanaa, stating it targeted leaders of the Houthi group.

Later, the Houthis confirmed the killing of their prime minister Ahmed Al-Rahawi and several ministers in the Israeli strikes, and Chief of Staff Major General Mohammed Al-Ghamari vowed a harsh response to Israel.

It is worth noting that the Houthi group began military operations against Israel since November 2023 in support of Gaza and also entered into confrontation with the United States before the two sides reached an agreement to end the mutual strikes in the maritime corridors in the region.
