Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool star, shone brightly leading him to win the Player of the Week award for the third round of the English Premier League after his brilliant goal that tipped the balance in favor of the “Reds” against Arsenal.
The official Premier League account on X announced that the Hungarian international Szoboszlai won the Player of Round 3 award, receiving 37% of the fan votes. The Liverpool star outperformed his rivals João Pedro, Chelsea striker (18%), and Jean-Philippe Mateta, Crystal Palace striker.
Szoboszlai led his team Liverpool to a 1-0 victory over Arsenal at Anfield Stadium in the third round’s top match. The Hungarian player scored the only goal of the match from a direct free kick, earning wide praise from the “Reds” fans and Premier League decision-makers.
With the win over Arsenal, Liverpool raised their tally to 9 points at the top of the standings, ahead of Chelsea in second place with 7 points, while Arsenal occupies third place with 6 points.
Liverpool will face an away match against Burnley on September 14 in the fourth round of the Premier League, with the match kicking off at 4 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
