Companies participating in the “GITEX Global 2025” exhibition showcased smart hospitality sector models through their platforms in the exhibition halls, including AI-powered robots acting as “chefs” to cook and prepare food recipes, as well as other robots preparing juices, coffee, and hot drinks and serving them to visitors.
Company officials told “Emarat Al Youm” on the sidelines of the exhibition held at Dubai World Trade Center yesterday that the expansion in developing and using AI technologies has facilitated the reliance on robots in the hospitality sector more effectively and reliably, whether in preparing meals and drinks or serving them. They pointed out that these robots will be available in the UAE and regional markets in the coming periods to be used in hospitality establishments.
Specifically, Senior Project Manager at “K2” Technology, Shenghua Xiu, said, “The company presented AI-powered robots through its platforms at GITEX 2025, enabling self-preparation of coffee and hot drinks and serving them to visitors.”
He added, “The expansion and growth of AI usage have allowed greater reliance on robots in the hospitality sector more extensively and effectively, enabling the use of these robots in various hospitality institutions, with expectations of a wide launch of hospitality robots in the UAE and the region.”
For his part, Business Growth Head at “Telefoss”, Tarek Hakanin, said, “The coming period will witness significant expansion in the UAE and regional markets in relying on smart robots in hospitality and order delivery, amid the development of AI applications that increase reliance on these robots and automation in various sectors.”
Meanwhile, Founder and CEO of “Unix Group”, Fred Yang, said, “What distinguishes the robot is its ability to perform multiple tasks, not limited to preparing coffee, but also including cleaning, refilling water, and automatically managing materials within workstations.”
He added, “The robot is used in some environments to perform additional tasks such as door control, monitoring device temperatures, and alerting in case of any operational malfunction.”
Yang pointed out that “the robots are equipped with an advanced intelligent system enabling them to learn and quickly adapt to different environments and users. They can also be trained to prepare multiple food and coffee recipes easily without direct human intervention.”
He said, “We look forward to soon opening a regional center in Dubai to be an interactive platform to showcase robots and welcome partners and clients from around the world to experience the future of smart coffee.”
In the same context, Founder and CEO of “Aligned Automation”, Nitin Ahuja, said, “AI has opened new horizons across all sectors, significantly increasing automation in transportation, hospitality, and other fields.”
He noted that “the growing demand for generative AI has made its applications more widespread, providing speed, security, safety, and efficiency factors across various sectors.”
On his part, Founder and CEO of “Expert Hub Robotics”, Jaya Bhatia, confirmed that “the demand for automation in the food and beverage sector is increasing, and we are at the forefront of this transformation.” He pointed out that “the coffee robot developed by his company combines automation, AI, and premium user experience, giving clients a real competitive advantage.”
He added, “Through the smart performance reports generated by the robot, we help cafes reduce waste by up to 30%, and AI not only makes excellent coffee but also supports real sustainability.”
