Tijani Reynders considered his decision to leave Milan and join Manchester City this summer a golden opportunity to take a step forward in his career. The Dutch midfielder, who spent two seasons at San Siro before joining Pep Guardiola’s team, admitted that despite his continued love for Milan, Manchester City’s recent dominance and resources made rejecting this deal impossible.
The Dutchman added: “If you look at the past few years of both clubs, I think it’s a step forward in every way. Just look at the number of titles they’ve won recently. Then look at a great coach, and you just have to look at the club’s players. I have a lot of feelings for Milan, but some trains only pass once.”
