Frenchman Adrien Rabiot, star of the Italian club AC Milan, issued a strong warning to his Portuguese teammate Rafael Leão, emphasizing that while Leão has exceptional talent, he needs greater ambition and passion to achieve major titles and accomplishments.
In statements reported by the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport,” Rabiot said: “Leão is a wonderful player with great potential, but at 26 years old, there is no time to waste. He must prove himself as a world-class player, not just rely on his talent.”
The French star added: “It would be unfortunate if his career remains without major achievements because he has what it takes to be among the best in the world, but success requires a different mentality and continuous passion.”
Rabiot pointed out that Leão needs to look in the mirror and ask himself about his next direction: “Is he satisfied with what he has done so far, or does he want to join the list of football greats?”
The AC Milan star concluded his remarks praising the abilities of the team’s coach Massimiliano Allegri, saying: “Allegri knows how to deal with talented players and can bring out the best in Leão if he shows commitment and desire.”
Rafael Leão is considered one of AC Milan’s top stars in recent years, having helped the team win the Serie A title in the 2021-2022 season, but he currently faces criticism regarding his drop in performance in some matches and lack of the enthusiasm that characterized him in his early days.
