American actress Diane Keaton, an Oscar winner, passed away at the age of 79.

Diane captured hearts with her portrayal of Woody Allen’s quirky girlfriend in the 1977 romantic comedy “Annie Hall.” Publishing company Rizzoli, which released several of Diane’s books, confirmed her death in a statement, describing her as an “icon whose influence extended to cinema, fashion, and design.”

The late actress, who appeared in over 60 films—including the “Godfather” trilogy, “The First Wives Club,” and eight films with Woody Allen in Hollywood—was known for her personal style featuring feminine looks, rounded-collar jackets, and distinctive hats.

She was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her role as American journalist Louise Bryant in the political drama “Reds” in 1981, and as a loving aunt to Leonardo DiCaprio in the family film “Marvin’s Room” in 1996, but it was “Annie Hall” that established her as a seasoned actress.
