Amman Arab University won first place in the educational institutions category at the 18th Arab Award for Social Responsibility and Sustainability 2025, organized by the Arab Network for Corporate Social Responsibility (ARABIA CSR) in Dubai, under the patronage of Sheikh Engineer Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi.

The university was represented at the award ceremony by Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Widyan, President of Amman Arab University, and Bassam Al-Bashaira, the university’s Social Responsibility Advisor. The ceremony honored entrepreneurs and social responsibility pioneers from across the Arab world.

Dr. Al-Widyan expressed pride in this achievement, reflecting the university’s vision to be a model of institutional leadership. He emphasized that this recognition is the result of collective efforts demonstrating the university’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility principles, and its approach to developing a leading educational environment that meets future aspirations and serves the local and regional community.

Al-Bashaira noted that the award reflects the university’s firm commitment to adopting best practices in sustainability and social responsibility. He explained that this achievement results from a comprehensive strategy to instill a culture of giving and responsibility within its academic and administrative system, alongside implementing qualitative initiatives aimed at empowering students and enhancing their role in community service.

The Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Center at Amman Arab University participated in the launch ceremony of Global Entrepreneurship Week, held at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, organized by the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship with broad participation from representatives of universities and national entrepreneurial institutions.

The ceremony included a comprehensive presentation of plans, ideas, and the timeline for the global week, aiming to spread the culture of entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation among youth and communities. It also discussed cooperation and partnership prospects with leading entrepreneurial and innovative entities in Jordan, in preparation for impactful events during the upcoming Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Yousef Al-Khaled, representative of the Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Center at Amman Arab University, presented the center’s plan for the current week, which includes programs, workshops, and training courses aimed at enhancing creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship concepts among youth. Part of the events will take place inside the university, while others will be organized in several governorates across the kingdom to expand participation and reach a wider segment of youth and local community members.

The center invited university students and faculty and administrative staff to participate in the upcoming Entrepreneurship Week at Amman Arab University from November 17 to 23, which will include distinguished programs and workshops aimed at stimulating creativity and fostering an entrepreneurial spirit within a supportive university environment for innovative ideas and projects.
