FIFA announces start of 2026 World Cup ticket sales with prices starting at $60
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) is launching the ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup in multiple phases this month, with initial prices starting at $60 USD per seat for group stage matches, reaching up to $6,710 USD for the final.
On Wednesday, FIFA announced the schedule for the first phase of sales, allowing fans to purchase single-match tickets, tickets for specific stadiums, and packages for specific national teams, noting that prices may vary according to demand.
A total of 48 teams, the largest number in World Cup history, will participate in the tournament hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19 next year.
Fans holding Visa cards can register for a FIFA ID on the official website to enter the pre-sale lottery, which will take place from September 10 to 19.
Selected candidates from the random pre-sale lottery can apply to purchase tickets starting October 1.
A maximum of four tickets per person per match will be allowed, and no one may purchase more than 40 tickets for the entire tournament.
Additional ticket sales phases will be launched in the coming months, with registration for the second phase expected from October 27 to 31, and sales starting from mid-November to early December.
The third phase will begin shortly after the World Cup draw in Washington on December 5, allowing fans to request tickets for specific matches.
As the tournament approaches, remaining tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
FIFA announced plans to offer additional products such as fan tickets for those wishing to sit with supporters of the same team, and conditional fan tickets for those wanting to secure a spot in potential knockout rounds.
The federation will also launch an official resale platform.
