Hussein El-Shahat, Al Ahly player, won the Man of the Match award after delivering an outstanding performance against Zamalek.

Al Ahly defeated Zamalek 2-1 in the match held on Monday evening at Cairo International Stadium, as part of the ninth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Zamalek took the lead with a goal by Hossam Abdel Meguid in the 33rd minute from a penalty kick, while Al Ahly’s goals were scored by Hussein El-Shahat in the 71st minute and Mahmoud Trezeguet in the 78th minute from a penalty kick.

The victory raised Al Ahly’s points to 15, placing them third, and narrowed the gap with league leaders Zamalek to just two points.
