London, August 31 /BNA/ – Manchester City suffered their second defeat against host Brighton by two goals to one in the match held today (Sunday) at Falmer Stadium as part of the third round of the English Premier League football competition.

The first half saw Manchester City take the lead with their only goal in the match scored by Erling Haaland in the 34th minute before Brighton equalized in the second half through James Milner’s penalty in the 67th minute, then Brighton took the lead by scoring their second goal through Brayan Groda in the 89th minute.

With this result, Brighton’s points rose to four, placing them tenth in the English league standings, while City’s points remained at three, placing them twelfth.
