Acer has unveiled its new Chromebook Plus Spin 514, considered one of the most powerful Chromebooks, thanks to its MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910 processor based on the Dimensity 9400 platform.
The announcement came during the IFA 2025 event alongside new Chromeboxes and the Swift Air 16 laptop.
The device features an aluminum chassis with a 14-inch touchscreen display offering up to 1800p resolution at 60Hz or 1200p at 120Hz refresh rate, supporting USI 2.0 stylus.
It runs on the Kompanio Ultra 910 processor which includes a high-performance Cortex-X925 core, three Cortex-X4 cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores, making it one of the most powerful Arm Chromebooks on the market.
It also features an integrated neural processing unit for AI tasks such as generative photo editing and task automation, with integrated Google AI tools and a dedicated button for quick access. The 70Wh battery offers up to 17 hours of usage, with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB UFS storage.
The device supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, includes a 5MP or 1080p camera, and an optional fingerprint sensor. Pricing starts at $699.99 in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Acer also introduced the Chromebox CXI6 powered by Intel processors up to Core i7 150U, offering up to 16GB RAM and 256GB M.2 storage, with a wide range of ports including USB, HDMI, DisplayPort, and SD card reader, supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. It will be available in the US in December starting at $519.99.
The smaller version features a fanless silent design with Intel processors from N150 to N350, up to 16GB RAM, and up to 128GB eMMC storage, with multiple ports including USB-A, HDMI, USB-C, and 1Gbps Ethernet. It will be available in North America in Q1 2026 starting at $329.99.
The Swift Air 16 is an ultra-lightweight laptop weighing under one kilogram, available with either a 1920×1200 IPS display or a 2880×1800 OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
It runs on AMD Ryzen AI 300 processors with support for Microsoft Copilot Plus features, offering up to 32GB RAM and up to 1TB SSD storage with a 50Wh battery lasting up to 13 hours.
The device supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, includes USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI ports, and starts at 999 euros (about $1,163). It will be available in November in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Acer also launched the Swift Lite 14, a slim AI-powered laptop at a competitive price.
