Kylian Mbappé, the star of Spanish club Real Madrid, suffered a serious injury during his participation in the match between his national team, France, and Azerbaijan in the World Cup qualifiers.

France defeated their guests Azerbaijan 3-0 in the match held on Friday evening at Parc des Princes stadium, as part of the third round of the World Cup qualifiers.

France took the lead in the second minute of added time in the first half through Kylian Mbappé, while Adrien Rabiot scored the second goal in the 69th minute, before Florian Thauvin scored the third goal in the 85th minute.

In the 83rd minute, Mbappé, who entered the French camp already injured, complained of muscle pain and was substituted by Florian Thauvin, who scored a goal just two minutes after coming on.

With this result, France’s points rose to nine, placing them first in their group in the World Cup qualifiers, while Azerbaijan remained with one point in last place.
