The German Foreign Ministry announced a clear decision to stop sending weapons related to the Gaza war to Israel, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to vote during a meeting of the security cabinet on a partial deal to release prisoners.

According to the Israeli newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” on Monday, Netanyahu said there was no need to vote on the partial deal as it was not on the meeting’s agenda. He also criticized Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and demanded he stop leaks regarding the army.

Meanwhile, the presidency of the largest association of scholars specialized in genocide research worldwide announced today that the association approved meeting the legal criteria to prove Israel committed genocide in the Gaza Strip. It stated that 86% of the 500 members of the International Association of Genocide Scholars supported the decision, which asserts that Israel’s policies and actions in Gaza meet the legal definition of genocide under Article 2 of the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948).

On another front, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported 9 deaths due to famine and malnutrition within 24 hours, including 3 children, raising the total number of famine and malnutrition victims to 348, including 127 children.

The ministry also confirmed the killing of 98 Palestinians and injuring of 404 others by occupation fire in the past 24 hours, noting that casualties from the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, have risen to 63,557 dead and 160,660 wounded.

Palestinian medical sources confirmed the killing of 34 Palestinians by Israeli army fire since dawn today, including 7 waiting for aid.

These developments come amid increasing international isolation of Israel, especially after the German Foreign Ministry’s announcement to halt arms shipments to Israel.
