The UAE swimming team continued its brilliance at the 4th Arab Age Group Aquatic Championships held in Casablanca, Morocco, as swimmer Raheem Talib won the gold medal in the 400m freestyle race with a time of 3:56.04 minutes, setting a new championship record.
Talib had previously won gold in the 1500m freestyle with a time of 15:47.42 minutes, setting a new Arab record, in addition to gold in the 800m and silver in the 200m, confirming his status as one of the tournament’s top stars.
The team also added two new silver medals on the final day through Adora Obara in the 100m butterfly and Hussein Shawqi in the 100m butterfly, bringing the total haul to 10 medals: 5 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze by the end of the morning session.
The UAE team will conclude its participation in the championship on Sunday evening, having delivered exceptional performances crowned by record-breaking achievements and a collection of medals, reflecting the significant progress of UAE swimming and its strong competitiveness across various age groups at both the Arab and international levels.
