Al Ahly club ended the journey of its Spanish coach José Ribeiro early by announcing his departure from the team’s technical leadership.
Al Ahly lost yesterday evening, Saturday, against Pyramids 2-0 in the fifth round of the Premier League, continuing the team’s decline under Ribeiro’s leadership.
Ribeiro led Al Ahly in only 7 official matches totaling 630 minutes, during which the team achieved only one victory, a 4-1 win over Pharco.
Al Ahly drew 4 other matches and lost 2 matches under his command.
The team scored 10 goals and conceded 11 goals while Ribeiro was in charge.
It is worth mentioning that Ribeiro took over the role after the Swiss Marcel Koller left at the end of last season, specifically after losing to South African Sundowns in the CAF Champions League semi-final.
