Celine Haidar, a player for the Lebanese national football team, faced a life-threatening injury to her head during an Israeli airstrike on Lebanon in November 2024, which left her in a coma. After a series of surgeries and daily physical therapy sessions, she gradually regained her ability to move and speak. Celine recounts how she chose to challenge her fate rather than surrender, drawing strength from her supportive family and her love for football. She continues to attend physical therapy and dreams of returning to the field as a player and later as a coach. She sends a message of hope and determination to Lebanese youth, especially those living in the southern regions still under bombardment, urging them to keep faith and never give up on their dreams.
