As part of Helwan University’s efforts to develop creative abilities and enhance artistic talents among its students, the Specialized Languages Center at the Faculty of Arts, in cooperation with the Department of Theatre Sciences, announced the opening of registration for a new training workshop titled “Dramatic Writing Workshop.” This workshop is held under the patronage of Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, Dr. Ahmed Rawi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Salam Sayed, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and supervised by Dr. Shadi Al-Kurdi, Director of the Specialized Languages Center. The workshop aims to qualify students wishing to join the Acting and Directing Division in the Department of Theatre Sciences through specialized training focusing on writing skills and rules for various forms of drama, providing students with tools for artistic expression and refining their creative talent.
The workshop runs for four consecutive days from Sunday, September 14 to Thursday, September 18, 2025, with 12 training hours divided into daily sessions from 10 AM to 1 PM. Registration requires submitting a copy of the national ID and paying a fee of 600 Egyptian pounds at the Specialized Languages Center at the Faculty of Arts. The center officials confirmed that this workshop is part of a series of training programs aimed at developing student talents and equipping them with practical experience to excel in creative writing and theatrical arts.
