Spanish coach José Ribeiro, head coach of Al Ahly, requested a report from Ahmed Gaballah, head of the team’s medical staff, about the condition of injured players ahead of the match against Pyramids, scheduled for 9 PM next Saturday at Al Salam Stadium, as part of the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League. The new 2025-2026 season of the Egyptian Premier League started with an exceptional system including 21 teams after relegation was canceled last season. This season features 21 teams following the cancellation of relegation and the promotion of three clubs from the second division to join the 18 clubs in the top league. Al Ahly faces tough matches in the first 10 rounds, including the upcoming match against Pyramids in round five at Al Salam Stadium and a match against Zamalek in round nine.

Al Ahly has also strengthened its squad by signing Tunisian Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan, regaining former star Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, as well as Malian Aliou Yang. The club also signed Ahmed Mostafa Zizo, goalkeeper Mohamed Siha from Arab Contractors, defender Ahmed Ramadan Beckham from Ceramica, and permanently purchased Mostafa El-Ash from ZED after his loan ended. Additionally, Mohamed Shokry from Ceramica, Yassin Marai from Pharco, and Mohamed Sherif joined on free transfers.
