Ayn has announced its latest portable gaming device, featuring a dual-screen design inspired by the classic Nintendo DS and a nostalgic transparent purple color reminiscent of the famous Game Boy Color. The new device, part of the Thor series, includes a 6-inch AMOLED main screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080×1920 resolution, alongside a 3.92-inch AMOLED secondary screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and 1080×1240 resolution. The Thor Lite runs on a Snapdragon 865 processor with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the Thor Pro and Thor Max feature a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with options up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The device is equipped with a 6000mAh battery, runs Android 13, supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and includes USB-C port, video output, 3.5mm headphone jack, and TF Card slot.

To avoid common issues in foldable devices, Ayn has reinforced hinges, an active cooling system, and Hall Effect technology joysticks. The dual-screen portable gaming market is increasingly competitive, with Ayaneo dominating initially with its Flip DS priced from $1139, recently introducing a more affordable Pocket DS, and Retroid launching the Flip 2 this year with accessories to convert some devices into dual-screen platforms.
