Norhan Taman stated on the Al-Rihan podcast, co-hosted with sports critic Mohamed Iraqi, that Al Ahly player Ahmed Abdelkader’s current situation remains unstable despite promises of participation in group training sessions. She confirmed that there were negotiations between the player and Zamalek club in recent months, and that Abdelkader tried to use the Zamalek negotiations as leverage to pressure Al Ahly officials. Abdelkader received offers from local clubs, notably Ceramica, ZED, Al Masry Port Said, and Al Ittihad Alexandria, as well as Gulf offers, most notably from Saudi club Al Hazem. However, Abdelkader rejected these offers as he desires a free transfer from Al Ahly.
