The 82nd edition of the Venice Film Festival, one of the world’s largest film festivals, begins tomorrow, Wednesday, featuring stars such as Julia Roberts and George Clooney, alongside a lineup of 21 films competing for the Golden Lion. The festival will see the return of American directors Gus Van Sant and Kathryn Bigelow after years of inactivity, as well as South Korean director Park Chan-wook, who returns after a 20-year hiatus. Notable films include ‘The Magic of the Kremlin’ by French director Olivier Assayas and ‘The Voice of Hend Rabah’ by French-Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania, both addressing current global issues.
