The management of the Port Said International Film Festival, chaired by critic Ahmed Asser and honorary president producer Hisham Suleiman, announced the release of the official poster for the first edition (dedicated to star Mahmoud Yassin), scheduled from September 18 to 22 under the slogan “Cinema Illuminates.” The poster was created by artist Mohamed Fateen, a prominent designer known for his work on major recent Egyptian films such as Al-Mamar, Al-Khalia, Malaky Alexandria, Ibn Al-Qonsol, Dokkan Shehata, and Al-Kenz. The festival’s slogan reflects its philosophy of reintroducing cinema as a soft power capable of inspiring and contemplation, serving as a window to understand self, history, and place, while turning Port Said into a global cultural space celebrating art and creativity. The festival is sponsored by Major General Mohab Habashy, Governor of Port Said, Dr.
Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, and in cooperation with the Syndicate of Cinematic Professions led by Mosad Fouda.
