The Emirati artist Hussein Al Jasmi released two new songs as part of his album “HJ2025”: the seventh release “Al-Noor” and the eighth “Closing the Heart’s Door”. “Al-Noor” features a distinctive Gulf flavor, with Al Jasmi collaborating with poet Qaws, composer Yasser Bouali, and arranger Issam Al Sharaiti, delivering a warm vocal performance full of tenderness and sincerity. Meanwhile, “Closing the Heart’s Door” features lyrics by Qusai Issa and composition by Nour Al Zain, carrying an authentic Iraqi character blending popular feeling with modern touches in music and arrangement.
Previously, Al Jasmi released the fifth song “Al-Haneen,” an emotional and distinctive state dealing with longing and difficulty coping with loss in a deep and sincere way. The lyrics by poet Ahmed Al Sanea express these feelings through refined poetic language, while Al Jasmi composed the music himself, adding his unique musical signature reflecting his inner feelings. The sixth song titled “In Record Time” was written by poet Amir Teima and reflects a fast-moving love story filled with internal conflict between attraction and caution to avoid mistakes. The melody composed by Al Jasmi presents an advanced artistic vision combining traditional Arabic and modern Western instruments, creating a unique musical blend of authenticity and modernity, with arranger Touma adding his touch through the arrangement.
The third work, part of his announced plan to release two songs weekly throughout the summer season, is titled “Ya Naqid Al Nas” in the Gulf style, with lyrics by poet Daheem Al Nomsi, composition by Yasser Bouali, and arrangement by Issam Al Sharaiti. Through this work, Al Jasmi offers a vocal reflection carrying social messages with expressive words characterized by wisdom and warmth, showcasing his special style of blending words and melody.
The fourth work “Ana Wal Qamar” was released with a music video, featuring the Egyptian singing style, with lyrics by Amir Teima, composition by Hisham Gamal who appeared in the video alongside his wife, artist Laila Ahmed Zaher, and arrangement by Madi. The song dives into feelings of love with poetic and dreamy language, forming an extension of the pure emotion that characterized the Egyptian works in the album project.
The first two stories of the album “HJ2025” are “Ya Naseem Hab Jadwakam,” one of the masterpieces of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s poetry, may God have mercy on him, composed by Yasser Bouali, and “Mistannik,” with lyrics by Tamer Hussein and composed by Al Jasmi.
