In its continuous support for performing arts, especially theater, the Cultural Development Fund sector made a prominent appearance at the 18th edition of the Egyptian National Theater Festival by winning the special jury award for best ensemble work for the play “Hawadit”, produced by the acting workshop at the Talent Studio in the Artistic Creativity Center. This achievement aligns with the Fund’s strategic approach, led by architect Hamdi El-Satouhi, Assistant Minister of Culture for Cultural Projects, to activate its role as a productive and developmental institution supporting the arts through continuous training and qualification and providing platforms for direct interaction between creators and the audience. The winning play “Hawadit”, directed by the renowned artist Khaled Galal, is currently being performed on the stage of the Artistic Creativity Center and features a group of young actors graduated from the specialized acting workshop organized by the center.

The work reflects a collective theatrical vision based on a professional methodology in training and presentation, which qualified it to receive the jury’s appreciation in one of the most prominent Egyptian theater events. This year, the Cultural Development Fund also participated with three theatrical productions from the Cairo and Alexandria Creativity Centers, in addition to the winning play at the University Theater Stars Seasons Festival, indicating its growing presence in the official theater scene and its commitment to supporting qualitative experiences that contribute to developing the theatrical movement and enriching Egyptian cultural content. The Egyptian National Theater Festival is the most important official platform for evaluating and showcasing theatrical experiences from various entities, dedicated to honoring outstanding works and documenting prominent artistic paths, reinforcing the tradition of celebrating collective and institutional theatrical efforts.
