It is now clear that the mourning event was not an initiative by the Atbara branch but a mistake endorsed by the party leadership, evidenced by the publication of a justificatory interview in Al-Midan newspaper and the defense by a member of the political bureau and party writers. This confirms insistence on the error. Some party members criticized this destructive approach, calling for self-criticism and correction of the work path among the masses. The party’s political line is known as the totality of tactics, tools, and slogans adopted to implement the political program, characterized by consistency and non-contradiction, including alliances and slogans.

The party’s declared line is to break with the illegitimate authority and work among the masses to raise their awareness and organize them to impose their will, adopting slogans essentially those of the glorious December revolution, with the current appropriate slogan being ‘No to war, yes to revolution.’ The Atbara branch made a political mistake by cooperating with the illegitimate authority in the service sector, forming a mechanism with the authority to implement the service project, instead of breaking with it. The party must either convince the masses that its line has changed or apologize publicly and self-criticize. Cooperation with the authority is considered recognition of its political role and participation in it, which contradicts the party’s line.

The initiative with the authority misleads the masses into believing that cooperation is the way to solve their problems rather than struggle and escalation against the authority, which is a major disaster. The party is urged to promptly correct its grave mistake through public self-criticism and apologize to the patient and struggling people.
