The Sakia Puppet Theater is presenting two concerts dedicated to the Star of the East, Umm Kulthum, on Thursday, September 4, at the Sakia El Sawy Theater. During these concerts, two of her greatest songs, “Daret Al Ayam” and “Baeed Annak,” will be performed accompanied by the Sakia Puppet Theater. The first concert starts at 6:30 PM and the second at 8:30 PM. This event is part of the theater’s efforts to promote puppet arts through musical concerts and plays for children and adults. The Sakia Puppet Theater was launched in 2006 with the play “The Big Pipe” by engineer Mohamed Abdel Moneim El Sawy. The theater proudly presents the full band concert of Umm Kulthum through the puppet theater project “Umm Kulthum Returns Again,” which offers a monthly show on the first Thursday of each month, led by engineer Mohamed El Sawy who animates the puppets.
