Neom team drew 2-2 with Italian side Roma in a friendly match held at Benito Stirpe Stadium in Frosinone, Italy. The capital team took the lead in the 25th minute with a goal by Italian Bryan Cristante following a goalkeeper error by Marcin Bulka, who did not come out at the right time. Algerian international Said Benrahma equalized after an individual effort from Frenchman Simon Bouabri. Five minutes later, Roma regained the lead through Argentine Matias Soulé with a shot from outside the box. Four minutes later, left-back Faris Abdi leveled the score again with a second goal after dribbling Roma’s defense and placing the ball past the goalkeeper, ending the first half 2-2. The second half saw several substitutions including Mohammed Al-Buraik, Ali Al-Asmari, and newcomers Malian Abdoulaye Doukouri and Saudi Abdulaziz Noor.

Neom lined up with Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bulka; defenders Abdulmalik Al-Ayyari, Egyptian international Ahmed Hegazi, French Nathan Zizi, and left-back Faris Abdi; midfielders Abbas Al-Hassan, Ivorian Amadou Kone, and Alaa Haji; and forwards Alexandre Lacazette, Algerian Said Benrahma, and French Simon Bouabri. This was Neom’s fifth friendly match as part of their preparations for the Roshn Saudi Professional League, with three draws against Roma, Cartagena, and Valencia B, and two losses against Levante and Al-Rayyan. Roma featured stars including Argentine international Paulo Dybala, Italian defender Gianluca Mancini, Spanish left-back Angelino, and Irish forward Evan Ferguson. The teams were coached by Italian Gian Piero Gasperini for Roma and French Christophe Galtier for Neom.
