Raja Athletic Club officially announced on Saturday the signing of Moroccan striker Ismail Khafi from Kuwaiti club Al-Qadsia, as part of the club’s efforts to strengthen its squad in preparation for upcoming domestic and continental competitions. The contract extends for two full seasons with an option to renew for a third season, making Khafi the latest signing of Raja during the current summer transfer window. The 28-year-old Ismail Khafi is considered one of the prominent strikers who have made a notable impact in the Moroccan league in recent years. He previously completed an exceptional season with Ittihad Tanger as the second top scorer in the Moroccan league with 13 goals, which linked his name to several clubs before embarking on a short professional experience in the Kuwaiti league with Al-Qadsia.
The new striker for the Eagles has passed through several important football stages, defending the colors of Ittihad Casablanca, Union de Khemisset, Mouloudia Oujda, and the Royal Army, before moving to the Qatari league through Al-Sailiya, then returning to the Moroccan league via Ittihad Tanger, and then undertaking a Gulf experience with Al-Qadsia.
