During the launch of the “Blue Pledge” campaign in Doha, QNB Group, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, initiated the “Blue Pledge” — a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of preserving the marine environment in all countries where it operates. This is in line with its environmental sustainability strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The initiative also aligns with Qatar’s commitment to supporting international efforts to protect aquatic environments and ensure the sustainability of their resources, amid global cooperation to face increasing challenges threatening marine ecosystems.

Ms. Hiba Al-Tamimi, Senior Executive Vice President of Communications at QNB Group, stated: “The Blue Charter initiative confirms QNB Group’s commitment to establishing environmental sustainability standards and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to balancing economic growth with environmental preservation, in line with Qatar’s vision on climate change. This step reflects QNB’s brand association with sustainable business concepts and leadership in driving positive change in the countries where we operate by supporting local initiatives aimed at environmental protection.”
