On Monday, rain ranging from light to heavy fell across various areas including Al Dhafra, Al Nouf on Abu Dhabi-Al Dhafra road, the central region, Huwaylat, Al Munee’i, Wadi Al Ajili, Wadi Al Qawr, Wadi Al Helou, Hatta, Masafi in the eastern region, and Khorfakkan road. The rain is expected to continue today in the east and south due to the country’s influence by a surface low-pressure system accompanied by an upper atmospheric low-pressure extension.
Fujairah Emirate also experienced scattered rain for the second consecutive day, ranging from light to moderate, causing wadis and valleys to flow in several mountainous areas. Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution while driving, avoid wadi paths, and adhere to safety guidelines to protect public safety.
The National Center of Meteorology expects today’s weather to be clear to partly cloudy with a chance of some cumulonimbus clouds, especially in the east and south, accompanied by rainfall. It will be humid at night and Wednesday morning in some coastal and inland areas with a possibility of light fog formation. Winds will be southeast turning northwest, light to moderate in speed, occasionally gusty with dust-raising clouds, ranging from 15 to 30 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h. The sea will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, the weather will be clear to partly cloudy with a chance of some cumulonimbus clouds in the east and south, humid at night and Thursday morning in some coastal and inland areas with a chance of fog or light fog. Winds will be southeast turning northwest, light to moderate, occasionally gusty, with speeds from 10 to 25 km/h reaching up to 35 km/h. The sea will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
The center also stated that Thursday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy with a chance of some cumulonimbus clouds in the east and south, humid at night and Friday morning in some coastal and inland areas with a chance of fog or light fog especially in the west. Winds will be southeast to northeast, light to moderate, occasionally gusty, with speeds from 10 to 25 km/h reaching up to 35 km/h. The sea will be light in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman. (WAM)
