Memphis Depay, star of the Dutch national team, achieved an exceptional milestone with his country during the big 4-0 victory over Finland in the match held on Sunday evening as part of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Memphis Depay assisted the first and second goals for Malen and Virgil van Dijk, becoming the top assist provider in the history of the Dutch national team with 35 successful assists.

Depay also holds the record as the all-time top scorer for the Netherlands with 53 goals, combining both titles in a rare achievement no other Dutch player has reached in modern history.

Having already secured a 2-0 win in the first leg in Finland, the Netherlands raised their tally to 16 points with 5 wins and 1 draw, before visiting their group runner-up Poland in the top match of the group on November 14. Poland will later face Lithuania, who have lost all chances after collecting only 3 points in fourth place.
