Tomorrow, all eyes will be on Abu Dhabi for the announcement of the winners of the “Best of the 2024-2025 Season” awards ceremony, organized by the UAE Professional League, at 7 PM at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi.
The Best Awards ceremony represents a prominent platform to celebrate the finest achievements of the sports season in the UAE, including players, coaches, club management, and fans, in an elegant event distinguished by lights and professional production.
The ceremony will witness a notable attendance of sports stars, media, and an engaged audience through the digital voting platform that has been active since late July.
All nominees on the final lists for the Best Awards look forward to inscribing their names in golden letters in the records of Emirati football at the grand event hosted by the Emirates Palace.
The UAE Professional League announced the final shortlisted nominees for the Best Awards in preparation for announcing the winners for the concluded season.
The shortlist for the Golden Ball Award for Best Player includes the trio Mehdi Ghaedi (Khorfakkan), Sardar Azmoun (Shabab Al Ahli), and Caio Lucas (Sharjah). Competing for the Golden Boy Award for Best Under-23 Player are Brahima Diarra (Al Wahda), Guilherme da Silva (Shabab Al Ahli), and Siaka Sidibe (Al Wasl).
The Golden Glove Award for Best Goalkeeper contenders are Ali Khaseif (Al Jazira), Adel Al Hosani (Sharjah), and Hamad Al-Maqbali (Shabab Al Ahli).
For the Best Coach Award, the competition is among Paulo Sousa (Shabab Al Ahli), Milos Milojevic (Al Wasl), and Olario Cosmin (Sharjah).
The shortlist for the Best Player chosen by the fans includes Mohamed Elneny (Al Jazira), Lucas Pimenta (Al Wahda), and Fabio Lima (Al Wasl).
The Best Goal Award contenders are Sofiane Rahimi (Al Ain), Nabil Fekir (Al Jazira), and Omar Khribin (Al Wahda).
The shortlist for the Excellence in Professionalism and Licensing Award includes Al Ain, Al Jazira, and Al Wahda, while the Fans League Award competition includes Al Wasl, Al Ain, and Al Jazira.
The ceremony will also feature several other awards decided based on statistics, including the Golden Boot for the top scorer of the ADNOC Pro League won by Laba Kodjo, Al Ain’s striker; the Golden Boot for the top scorer of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup won by Ramon Mieris of Al Jazira; and the Silver Boot for the top scorer in the Under-23 League won by Saeed Mansour Al Menhali of Al Wahda.
Additionally, the Fantasy League Coach Award and the Dream Team Award will be announced.
