Hani Abu Reida, Chairman of the Egyptian Football Association, received congratulations from Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, after Egypt officially qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals.

In his message to Abu Reida, Lekjaa said: “I congratulate you on the well-deserved qualification to the World Cup, and God willing, it will be a special World Cup for our brothers in Egypt. You are always welcome in Morocco, your second home.”

The Moroccan federation president added: “The Egyptian national team does not need any welcome or hospitality in Morocco, as this is your second home. God willing, Morocco will always be a good omen for Egyptian football.”

Egypt played the decisive World Cup 2026 qualifying match against Djibouti at the Arab Zouali Stadium in Casablanca, Morocco, winning 3-0 to secure their fourth-ever World Cup qualification.
