Serhou Guirassy, the Dortmund German team player, left the Guinea national team camp for health reasons before the final round of World Cup qualifiers.
A week before the Bundesliga top match between Dortmund and Bayern Munich, the striker returned to Germany “in a state of severe physical weakness,” according to the Guinea national team.
Guinea won their last World Cup 2026 qualifying match against Mozambique 2-1 without Guirassy, who remained on the bench due to a minor hamstring issue.
It is still unclear whether Guirassy will be ready to participate in the upcoming Bayern Munich match on Saturday.
