The Glazer family, owners of the English club Manchester United, are considering selling the club before 2027 to maximize financial gain.
The British newspaper “The Athletic” reported that the United owners held an emergency meeting this week in Switzerland to discuss selling the club in the near future.
The meeting in Switzerland to discuss the sale of Manchester United was attended by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner, an undisclosed member of the Glazer family, Joel, and Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada.
Conditions inside Manchester United improved last week after the win against Sunderland, easing pressure on head coach Rúben Amorim, although the Old Trafford management remains aware of fans’ anger over his continued leadership despite the team’s poor results.
It is worth noting that Manchester United currently ranks tenth in the English Premier League table with 10 points.
